SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM Monday, January 4, 2010, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall of Highland Baptist Church, officiating. The body will not be available for viewing, and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGAPHY: Mr. Vickery was born September 14, 1925 in Mannsville, Oklahoma. He had been a lifelong resident of Pampa. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving from 1942-1946. He married Mildred Smith on April 28, 1946 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on February 15, 2008. Allan was employed as the sanitation superintendent for the City of Pampa, retiring after 28 years of service. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and model railroading, and especially spending time with his beloved wife, Mildred.SURVIVORS: a son: Mike Vickery and wife Laura of Ransom Canyon; 2 daughters: Barbara Vickery of Amarillo and Sharon Jones and husband Larry of Granbury; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; a sister: Lois Roberts of Arizona. Allan was preceded in death by a brother: Tommy Vickery.MEMORIALS: Highland Baptist Church, 1301 N. Banks, Pampa, Texas 79065.
