SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2009, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Johnson was born on Dec. 19, 1919 in Cisco, Texas and had been a resident of Lefors and Pampa since 1929. He graduated from Lefors High School and attended Texas A & M University. Maynard was a veteran of the U. S. Army during World War II, serving in Iceland, England, and France, and he was honorably discharged in 1945 with the rank of staff sergeant. He married Georgia Browning on Feb. 8, 1946 in Pampa, and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2009. Maynard was a production controller for Cabot and IRI for 37 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Suzanne Hudman of Post and Julie Henry of Houston; 1 son: Paul Maynard Johnson of Pampa; 2 sisters: Mickey Sue Johnson of Pampa and Betty Jean Chura of Fort Worth; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Nuggie Johnson, by a brother, Bob Johnson, and by a sister, Maxine Johnson.MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church, P. O.
