He had been a resident of Pampa since 1957. He was a 1969 graduate of Pampa High School and attended Panhandle State and Frank Phillips College. Joe was a rancher in Wheeler County for many years. He worked for Eagle Rock Energy, retiring in 2007 after 30 years of service.SURVIVORS: wife: Betty Grayson of the home; 2 daughters: Mitzi Devoll and husband James of Pampa, and Kandi Curtis and husband Ken of White Deer; his mother: Mary Legg Grayson of Clinton, Oklahoma; a sister: Christina Grayson of Grand Junction, Colorado; 9 grandchildren: James Ray Devoll and wife Kate, Roy Don Devoll and wife Desiree, Ashley Kay Reese and husband Travis, John Colby McCoy and wife Heather, Kayla Rose McCoy, Kendra Lee Wheeler and husband Derrick, Justin Whitney Curtis, Dustin Wayne Curtis and wife Shawnda, and Joshua James Curtis; 8 great-grandchildren: Jaycee Ruth Devoll, Elizabeth Grace Devoll, Riley Paige Devoll, Avery Whitney Marie Curtis, Casey James Curtis, Hannah Christine Curtis, Payden James Curtis, and Roy Douglass McCoy; numerous nieces and nephews.MEMORIALS: American Cancer Society, co/ Gerry Caylor, 2130 Charles, Pampa, Texas 79065.
