SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at Memorial Heights Cemetery, with Brother Cole Goldsmith, associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Panhandle, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Callaway was born February 8, 1930 in Vinson, Oklahoma. He attended schools in the Oklahoma area. He married Edna Smith on May 27, 1950 in Hollis, Oklahoma. They moved to Pampa in 1951 and later moved to Lefors in 1976. J. C. owned and operated Curly's Roustabout Service for over 20 years, and he later owned and operated Curly's Service Station for 12 years.SURVIVORS: wife: Edna Callaway of the home; daughter: Sherry Thacker and husband Bob of Lefors; son: Rick Callaway and wife Ronda of Lefors; 2 granddaughters: Evonne Thacker of Del Norte, Colorado, and Keely Callaway of Lefors; a grandson: Jesse Callaway and wife Andrea of Pampa; and his special companion, his dog Emmy.
