SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, November 23, 2009, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Bobby Smithson, pastor of Booker Christian Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Taylor was born February 28, 1919 in Dickens County to Dan and Lilla McCoy. She had been a resident of Brownfield most of her life, moving to Pampa in 1989. She married Jim Bob Taylor on December 18, 1936 in Brownfield. Clarice worked as a waitress in Brownfield before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting, macramé, quilting and walking. She loved her family. She belonged to the Assemblies of God.SURVIVORS: 1 son: Johnny Taylor and wife DeAnn of Pampa; 1 daughter: Jean Alexander of Lipscomb, County; 1 brother: Doyle McCoy of Oraville, California; 4 grandchildren: Carelton Blythe Alexander of Sacramento, California, LaJona Taylor Reeves of Pampa, Sana Alexander of Booker, and Harper Taylor of Las Vegas, Nevada; 6 great-grandchildren: Isaiah Alexander, Josiah Alexander, Christian Alexander, Taylor Reeves, Tristin Reeves, Alex Stevens. Clarice was preceded in death by her husband: Jim Bob Taylor in 1997; a son: Carroll Wayne Taylor; 3 brothers: Merle McCoy, Marsh Ray McCoy and Jesse McCoy; and 4 sisters: Claudie Woods, Bennie Woods, Gertie Smith, and Grace Ferrell.MEMORIALS: American Heart Association, 2514 82nd Street, Suite B, Lubbock, Texas 79423.
