Raymond McKeever, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Sanders was born November 30, 1923 in Bells. She graduated high school from Fred Douglass High School in Sherman. She received a B.A. and a Master's Degree in English. She married Alvis Sanders on April 22, 1959 in Pampa. She taught English and other subjects for over 40 years at Pampa Independent School District. She was past president of Missionary Society and Stewardess Board at St. Mark CME Church. Irene liked to sew and was an avid genealogist where she would search her family's history. Her favorite pastime was caring for her dogs, Max and Jasper.SURVIVORS: 4 nieces: Belinda Beamon and husband Lawrence, and Bette Moody and husband William, all of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Brenda Handy of Denver, Colorado, and Beverly McNeal and husband Martin of Sacramento, California; a nephew: Bobbye Boyd and wife Wilma of Grand Rapids, Michigan; God-daughter: Bea Taylor and husband James of Pampa. She was preceded in death by her parents: Alex and Thelma Boyd; 2 brothers: Floyd Boyd and Alex Boyd; her husband: Alvis Sanders; and a nephew: Todd Boyd.MEMORIALS: St. Mark CME Church, 406 Elm, Pampa, Texas 79065.
