SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Progressive Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Davis, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Ms. Wood was born August 20, 1948 in Pampa to Arthur and Vera Wood. She attended Pampa schools and was a lifelong resident of Pampa. She worked as a cook for many years for several restaurants. She was a member of Progressive Baptist Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and keeping everybody in contact with each other. When she had to go live at a nursing home, she made the very best of it. She would participate in all of their activities and earned the resident of the month award.SURVIVORS: 1 Aunt: Vardene Searl of Pampa; 1 Uncle: Smokey Harvey of McLean; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Judy was preceded in death by a daughter: Anita Gay Burleson; her parents; 4 brothers: Jimmy Wood, Earnest Lane, Jerry Lane, Wayne Lane; 3 sisters: Alice Guthrie, Leta Cook, and Frances Trekell.
