SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with Steve Cox, minister of St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Mobley was born on Nov. 2, 1910 in Kimble County, Texas, one of nine children born to Luther C. and Mary Elizabeth Bratton. She was a 1928 graduate of Johnson City High School and moved to Amarillo in 1929. She married John T. Mobley on Aug. 12, 1931 in Tucumcari, NM and they moved to Pampa in 1934. Mrs. Mobley was worker, teacher, and superintendent of the kindergarten department at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Pampa for 32 years where she was also a charter member. She was a Girl Scout leader for 8 years and was the owner and operator of the Aquarium Pet Shop for several years. Viola was very proud of her Texas heritage (her family was part of the original "Old Three Hundred" settlers that Moses Austin invited to settle Texas). She loved music, playing the piano and organ since she was a little girl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mary Joyce Hatcher, by three brothers and four sisters, and a stepson, Charles L. Mobley.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Gerald L. Mobley and wife Larain of Neola, UT and Ray L. Mobley and wife Dixie of Marble Falls; 1 brother: Ed Bratton of McKinney; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: St. Paul United Methodist Church, 511 N.
