He was a former resident of Pampa and had resided in Katy at the time of his death. He was a carpenter. He married Erica Ann Lacher in 2007 in Pampa.SURVIVORS: wife: Erica Vonkanel of the home; daughter: Madelynn Grace Vonkanel of Katy; mother: Brenda Vonkanel of Katy; brother: Darrell Vonkanel, Jr., of Pampa; paternal grandmother: Georgia Vonkanel of Pampa; maternal grandparents: Leroy and Helen Jones of Cleveland; mother-in-law and father-in-law: Tommy and Faye Lacher of Pampa; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
