SERVICES: 4:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2009, at Trinity Fellowship Church with Pastor Lonny Robbins, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors with military honors courtesy of the U. S. Navy. BIOGRAPHY: Rick was born August 21, 1948 in Quanah, and came to Pampa in 1950 from Quanah. He was a 1967 graduate of Pampa High School where he played varsity basketball and baseball. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War, serving on the USS Hamner. Rick later transferred to the U. S. Naval Reserve where he served until 1973. He married Ginger Ferguson on July 25, 1970 in Pampa. He was a salesman for Clifton Supply for several years and was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Rick was a loving husband and father, and loved his family and church family very much. He loved the Pampa Harvesters and was their number one fan. He was an avid golfer.SURVIVORS: wife: Ginger Foster of the home; 1 son: Seth Foster of Pampa; 1 daughter: Sara Foster of Pampa; 1 sister: Susan Brooks and husband Richard of Irving; 2 brothers: Joe Foster and wife Candi of Odessa, and Chuck Foster and wife Cheryl of Boerne; mother-in-law: Virginia Gooch of Pampa; brother-in-law: Al Ferguson and wife Susie of Pampa; 4 nieces, 6 nephews, 5 great-nieces and 8 great-nephews. Rick was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Kebby Renea Foster in 1973; his father D. G. "Jack" Foster in 1995; and his mother: Gloria Foster in 2005.MEMORIALS: Trinity Fellowship Church, 2225 N. Hobart, Pampa, Texas 79065.
