SERVICES: Entombment services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, October 19, 2009, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Pastor Kyle Ohsfeldt of Grace Baptist Church , officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Taylor was born March 6, 1946 in Wellington, Collingsworth County, Texas. She received her early education from schools in Quail, Wellington, Pampa and Flomot, returning to Pampa when she was in the 9th grade, and graduating from Pampa High School in 1964. She attended college for one year in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she met her future husband, David Taylor. They were married on September 3, 1965 at her parent's home in Pampa, and she had been a resident of Pampa ever since that time. She loved to quilt, crochet and cook. SURVIVORS: her husband: David Taylor of the home; a daughter: Meleda Chavez and husband Gilbert of Dumas; a son: James David Taylor, Jr., and wife Misty of Pampa; her mother: Addie M. Adkins of Pampa; five grandchildren: Destiny Chavez and Tianka Chavez, both of Dumas, Mason Taylor, Logan Taylor and Maddlyn McCoy Taylor, all of Pampa; four sisters: Phylis Martin of Jasper, Jackie Thompson and husband Rick of Grove City, Ohio; and Jo Hellen Grimes and husband Jeff of Wood River, Illinois, and Carolyon West and husband Leslie of Pampa; and many nieces and nephews.
