Rick Parnell, associate pastor, officiating.ENTOMBMENT: Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Parks was born October 18, 1966 in Bellflower, California, to Jimmy and Betty Carter. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1977. Denise married Gary Parks on February 22, 1992 in Pampa. She and Gary owned Top of Texas Vacuum & Sewing for 7 years, until June of 2007, and she was a substitute teacher for Pampa ISD. Denise loved teaching kids at school and at church. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: husband: Gary Parks of the home; 2 daughters: Janell Parks and Heather Parks, both of the home; father: Jimmy Carter and wife Jan of Lake Isabell, California; a special nephew: Todd Carter of Abilene; a brother: Jim D. Carter of Riverside, California; an aunt: Peggy Hoggatt and husband Don of Odessa; 2 uncles: Lester Lynch and wife Melba of Pampa and Ron Lynch and wife Glenda of Amarillo; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Neil and Mary Fulton of Pampa; 3 brothers-in-law: Tommy Parks and wife Patricia and Karl Parks and wife Stephanie, all of Pampa, and Stormy Fulton and wife Tracie of Burkburnett; 2 sisters-in-law: Rebel Fulton and Schuyler Fulton, both of Pampa. Denise was preceded in death by her mother: Betty Carter; a sister: Desiree Carter; and grandparents: L.C. and Lettie Lynch.MEMORIALS: Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 513 E.
