Brian Christen, associate pastor of youth and education, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Vance was born July 30, 1935 in Pampa where he had been a lifelong resident. He graduated from West Texas State University with a B. S. in geology and science education in 1958. He was the manager with the Texas Employment Commission, retiring in 1990 after 33 years of service. Charles was a member of the First Christian Church. SURVIVORS: 1 sister: Virginia Rogers and husband Lewis of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 1 niece: Christina Behrens of Carrollton; 1 nephew: Richard Rogers of Bedford; 1 great-niece: London Rogers of Bedford; 1 great-nephew: Brandon Behrens of Carrollton.
