He moved to Canadian in 1945 and attended school where he graduated from Canadian High School in 1960. He moved to Pampa in 1978. He was a member of the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965 serving in the military police. He was employed in sales most of his life. He recently opened the Pampa Kwik Wash. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and watching NASCAR. He especially loved his family and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Ralph Eugene Gross, and William Charles Miller, 1 brother-in-law: Hoppy Mathis.SURVIVORS: 3 brothers: Vern Lahlum and Gene Miller and wife Linda all of Pampa, and Jim Miller and wife Barbara of Blaine, Washington. 2 sisters: Audrey Cockrell and husband B.G. "Pig" of Canadian and Joyce Mathis of Pampa. 1 sister-in-law: Deanne Miller of Canadian, and numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family: Lahlum Family of Minnesota.
