SERVICES: 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at the First Baptist Church of Mobeetie with Rev. O. K. Bowen, and Rev. Don McElroy, pastor, officiating. BURIAL: Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Seitz was born on May 15, 1930 to Aubrey and Thelma Mae Pond in Kelton, Texas. She married William Irvin Seitz on July 23, 1950 in Kelton, and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1989. She had been a resident of Mobeetie since 1950. Mrs. Seitz was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid quilter and was known for her cooking and canning preserves and jelly. She was a longtime member of the Mountain View Quilting Club and T. E. L. Sunday school class. She was member of First Baptist Church of Mobeetie. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Pattie Mae Seitz, a sister, Beulah Bell Pond Phillips, and a granddaughter, Aimee Cherie Seitz. SURVIVORS: 3 sons: Aubrey Seitz of Flomot, Earl Seitz and wife Paula and Dean Seitz and wife Gina, all of Mobeetie; a daughter: Charlotte Hefley and husband James of McLean; 2 brothers: Doyle Pond and wife Sara of Wheeler, and Jim Pond of Amarillo; a sister: Maxine Pond of Yukon, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren: Kassie O'Neal and husband Chris, Kiley Allen and husband Jesse, Holly Williamson and husband Matt, Jill Brooks and husband Craig, Lori Dudley and husband Jordan, Nikki Shahan and husband Aaron, Traci Carter and husband Casey, Jami Johnston and husband Adam, and Cody Seitz and wife Brittany; 13 great grandchildren: Cutter and Chloe O'Neal, McKinley and Kyle Brown, Jaxxn Allen, Jacob and Caleb Williamson, Caitlyn Brooks, Cayson and Denym Carter, Ethan and Kaytie Seitz, and Riggin Johnston; and many nieces and nephews.MEMORIALS: Mobeetie Fire Department or Mobeetie Cemetery Association through the First State Bank of Mobeetie or Circle of Friends, c/o Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79106.
