SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, and Steve Porter, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Smith was born April 12, 1929 in Wichita Falls and was a 1947 graduate of Henrietta High School. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville and Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. Andy married Louise Bevering on June 23, 1951 in Wichita Falls. He was a longtime Roberts County and Clay County rancher and served as a 4-H leader and volunteer for many years. Mr. Smith was a lifelong member of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association and served on the Board of Directors for the Clarendon College Ranch Management Program. Andy was an avid pilot and was a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Everyman's Bible Class and a member of the Roberts County VFW Post.SURVIVORS: Wife: Louise Smith of the home; 2 daughters: Janet Tregellas and husband Rocky of Booker and Sue Fatheree and husband Tim of Pampa; 2 granddaughters: Jenny Fatheree Shepard and husband Dr. Taylor Shepard of Durham, NC and Rebecca Fatheree Weathersby and husband Scott of Denver, CO; 2 grandsons: Brian Tregellas of Irving and Blake Tregellas and wife Sarah of Perryton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew A. Smith, Sr. and Trellis Woodward Smith, and by a brother, Gene Robert Smith, in 1953.MEMORIALS: Lovett Memorial Library, 111 N.
