SERVICES: 3:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Skellytown, with Rev. Fines Marchman, pastor, Rev. Darrell Bonjour of Paramount Baptist Deaf Church of Amarillo, and Rev. Jimmy Fox, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, August 31, 2009, at the Seneca Cemetery in Seneca, Missouri with Rev. Jerry VanMoss, officiating. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Burnett was born September 9, 1935 in Seneca, Missouri. He had been a resident of Miami, Oklahoma until 1978 when his mother passed away. Bobby was a resident of Skellytown for 26 years before moving to Amarillo in 2004. While in Skellytown, he was involved in Little League baseball and the PanFork Baptist Campground. He was a longtime and active member of First Baptist Church of Skellytown, and attended Paramount Baptist Deaf Church in Amarillo. SURVIVORS: 1 sister: Arlene B. Mathews of Amarillo; 3 nieces: Karen Horner and husband Jimmie, Nancy Fox and husband Jimmy, and Denise Smyth and husband Blaine, all of Amarillo; 2 aunts: Maedean Shivers and husband Grady, and Mardelle Henley and husband Phillip, all of Arkansas; several great nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews, and other close friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Essie Mae Burnett; a half brother: Morgan Burnett; and a brother-in-law: Paul Wayne Mathews.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, P.O.
