He had been a resident of Miami since 1955. He married Sue Chase at Hopkins, and she preceded him in death on February 13, 1999. He worked for Texas Department of Transportation for about 25 years as a section foreman.SURVIVORS: 3 sons: Danny Smith of Pampa, Randy Smith and wife Tara of Nashville, Tennessee, and Monty Smith of Miami; 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.MEMORIALS: SPCA, 11901 S.
