SERVICES: 10:00 AM Monday, August 3, 2009, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Bishop Paul Smith of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery with Masonic rites courtesy of Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381 AF & AM, and military honors courtesy U. S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Brooks was born October 25, 1925 in Lamesa, Texas. He married June Lantz on October 21, 1950 in Abilene. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1958. He was self employed as an electrician, owning and operating Electric Service. Mr. Brooks was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381 where he was a 32 degree Mason, El Paso Scottish Rite Consistory and the V.F.W Post #1657. SURVIVORS: wife: June Brooks of the home; 3 sons: Neil Brooks and wife Jerilyn of Pampa, Martin Brooks and wife Shanon of Marshall, and Paul Brooks and wife Pam of Sandy, Utah; 1 daughter: Angela Colton and husband Perry of Provo, Utah; 1 brother: Wayne Brooks and wife Lois of Pampa; 3 sisters: Ruth Blackburn, Marie Luttrell and Bernice Fuller, all of Abilene; 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Fay and Chloe Brooks; a sister: Gussie Plummer; and 3 brothers: Jesse Brooks, Stephen Brooks and Donald Brooks.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N.
