SERVICES: 2:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, and Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Cobb was born March 11, 1922 in Carson County, and was a graduate of Groom High School. She married Wayne Cobb on June 24, 1942 at Fort Ord, California, near Monterey, California. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 50 years. Geneva was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Sherry Etheredge and husband Jessie of Pampa, and Vickie Young and husband Victor of Amarillo; 1 sister: Odessa Ray of Howardwick; 7 grandchildren: Chad Etheredge and wife Jodi, Brett Etheredge and wife Shae, and Jarred Etheredge and wife Megan, all of Pampa, Mark Young and wife Robin, Chris Young and wife Denise, Charissa Young and Justin Young, all of Amarillo; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Wanda Cobb of Overland Park, Kansas, and a host of nieces and nephews.MEMORIALS: Central Baptist Church Building Fund or Mission Fund, 513 E.
