Kenny Rigoulot, pastor, officiating.ENTOMBMENT: Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Potts was born March 12, 1935 in Paradise, Texas to Joseph Tatman Potts and Anna Atkins Potts. He was a 1953 graduate of Paradise High School and received a B.S. degree from TCU in 1958. He later received an M. Ed. Degree in 1971 from West Texas State University. He was an algebra and math teacher for 25 years, including years at Pampa Junior High, Robert E. Lee Junior High and Pampa High School. At Pampa High School, Bill was student council sponsor for 6 years and finished his career as chairman of the math department. He also coached junior high basketball for several years. He married Jane Cheyne on June 1, 1961 in Amarillo and they have lived in Pampa for more than 30 years. He was a life member of NEA and TSTA where he worked as a regional consultant for 8 years in Plainview. Bill was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army and Texas National Guard for 6 years. SURVIVORS: wife: Jane Potts of the home; a son: Parrish Kelley Potts and wife Kathryn of Heath, Texas; 4 grandchildren: John Brennan, Michael, Andrew, and Caroline Potts, all of Heath; a brother: Bob Potts and wife Mary of Paradise; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Book of Remembrance, 525 N. Gray, Pampa, Texas 79065.
