BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Johnson was born February 19, 1922 in Merkel. She was the valedictorian of the 1940 graduating class of Lefors High School. She attended Texas Tech University, Wayland Baptist University, and graduated from West Texas State University in 1944 with a bachelor's degree in business. She married Maynard Johnson on February 8, 1946 in Pampa. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1946. Georgia was an insurance agent for Fraser Insurance for over 40 years, retiring in 1987. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Altrusa International. SURVIVORS: husband: Maynard Johnson of the home; 1 son: Paul Maynard Johnson of Pampa; 2 daughters: Suzanne Hudman of Post and Julie Henry of Houston; 2 brothers: Kenneth Browning of Puyallup, Washington and Fred Browning of Lovington, New Mexico; 1 sister: Joy Hurst of Stillwater, Oklahoma; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
