SERVICES: 10:00 AM Monday, June 15, 2009, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Charles Lowry, pastor of CrossPointe Church, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, June 15, 2009, at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Carson was born June 14, 1927 in Hill City, Kansas. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Joyce Boaldin on November 9, 1957 in Elkhart, Kansas. Dean retired from Cities Service as a production foreman after 39 years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, a member of the Scottish Rite Consistory, and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1657 in Pampa. He was a Baptist.SURVIVORS: wife: Joyce Carson of the home; 2 daughters: Cheri Newman and Ladeana Dudley and husband Dan, all of Pampa; 1 son: James Edgar Carson of Pampa; 2 sisters: Donna McCormick and Kathy McKenney, both of Gillette, Wyoming; 7 grandchildren: James Dean Marquez, Matthew Patrick Dudley, Latisha Anne Dudley, Rebecca Lynn Dudley, Timothy Jason Dudley, Nicholos James Dudley, and Samuel Joseph Newman; 7 great-grandchildren.
