SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall of Highland Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Chandler was born September 24, 1921 in Holton, Oklahoma. She married Jess Alonzo Chandler on March 19, 1941 in Panhandle. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2006. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1953. Virginia was employed by Your Laundry and Dry Cleaners for nine years. She enjoyed embroidering and sewing. She was an animal lover and she loved spending time with her family.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Virginia Kathy Honeycutt and husband Wendill of Pampa, and Kayron Joyce Matthews and husband Wallace of College Station; 3 sisters: Lillie Parker and Inez Williams, both of Borger, and Margaret Hawley of Marlow; 1 brother: Paul Morrow of Pampa; 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters: Juanita Parker and Mildred Walker; 1 son: Gus Alonzo Chandler; and 1 daughter: Jessie Jean. MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, Texas 79065.
