SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Pampa, Texas with John Curry officiating. Local arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Sears was born April 14, 1921 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Marie Schmidt Holloway and David Louis Holloway. Bobbye grew up in Oklahoma City and after graduating high school married Edward Alexander McLennan in Oklahoma City in 1940. They moved to Pampa in 1949 and she resided here until 1970. During her time in Pampa she raised three children and was very active in a variety of organizations. She was very involved in the Order of Eastern Star, and a past President of Woodrow Wilson Elementary School PTA. Bobbye served as a Den Mother for her son's Cub Scout den and as Troop Leader for her daughter's Girl Scout troop. She was very active in the First United Methodist Church and served the church in various capacities. She also participated in a local garden club and enjoyed numerous social activities, especially playing canasta with friends. After E. A.'s death in 1966, she married Frank Hoyt Sears in 1972 and they moved to Cedar Edge, Colorado in 1976 and to Wichita, Kansas in 1987.Mrs. Sears was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Alexander McLennan and Frank Hoyt Sears, her oldest daughter Carol Marie Perry, step-son Bruce William Sears and step-daughter-in-law Jo Nell Sears. She is survived by her son F. David McLennan of Austin, Texas and, daughter Toni J. Rooney and her husband Tim of Winter Park, Florida, step-son Phillip Hoyt Sears and Gwendolyn Studebaker of Wichita, Kansas, step-son Randall Gary Sears and his wife Diane of Renton, Washington; a cousin Iva Mae Holloway of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma ; six granddaughters and six grandsons, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and memorials may be sent to them at 313 S. Market, Wichita, Kansas 67202.
