SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Paul Smith, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Viewing and visitation will be until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Kane was born December 5, 1937 in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. He married Susan Darling on April 1, 1969 in Reno, Nevada. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1969, working for Leonard Hudson Drilling. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He liked to read, fish and play slot machines in his spare time. Ernie will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.SURVIVORS: wife: Susan Kane of the home; 6 sons: Randy Kane and wife Trish of Borger, Jerry Kane and wife Hannah of Sacramento, California, Charles Kane and wife Kathy and Leonard Kane, all of Pampa, James Kane and wife Ranea of Soldotna, Alaska, and John Kane and wife Nikki of Minnesota; 2 daughters: Donna Kane and Jane Dedrick, both of Pampa; brother: Harry Kane of Hookstown, Pennsylvania, sister: Doris Coy; daughter-in-law: Gina Kane of Pampa; 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
