SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Mert Cooper, a Presbyterian minister, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Drum was born December 1, 1903 in Colorado City, Texas, and was a lifelong resident of Wheeler, Roberts and Gray Counties. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Miami, and later joined First Presbyterian Church in Pampa. Mrs. Drum was a member of Miami Chapter #98 Order of the Eastern Star, VFW Post #1657 in Pampa, and she was one of four women who started the Pampa Army Airfield Reunion. Mrs. Drum loved her family and was a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren. She loved to take them fishing and picnicking. She loved to work in her garden and loved to travel extensively. SURVIVORS: daughter: Mary Ellen Gething Jones of Pampa; son: W. E. "Bill" Gething and wife Grace of Pampa; 2 grandsons: Mark E. Gething and wife Marna of Amarillo and Grant Gething and wife Joyce of Pampa; 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 grandsons: John William Lilly and George Edward Lilly. MEMORIALS: Book of Remembrance, First Presbyterian Church, 525 N. Gray, Pampa, Texas 79065.
