SERVICES: 10:00 AM Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Swanson Hill Community Church in Palestine with Bro. Bill Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery in Palestine under the direction of Bailey-Foster Funeral Home of Palestine. Local arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Fox was born May 16, 1917 in Palestine, Texas. She married Hobart G. Durrett on Dec. 28, 1940 in Palestine. He preceded her in death in 1981. She later married Grady L. Fox on March 20, 1984 in Vega. He preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Fox had been a resident of Pampa since 1998, and she had previously lived in Amarillo and Sulphur, Oklahoma for many years. She was a former secretary and insurance agent for Panhandle Insurance Agency in Amarillo for 13 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and she was an excellent cook. Christian values were very important in her life, and she raised her children in a loving Christian home.SURVIVORS: Daughter: Carol Hannah and husband Larry of Pampa; 2 sisters: Olive Hinson and Ezelle Conaway, both of Palestine; 4 grandchildren: Dustin Durrett of Wichita Falls, Sarah Jobe of Odessa, Mary Catherine Scobey of Amarillo, and Kerry Salas of Seattle, Washington; and 4 great grandchildren: Zachary Scobey, Lola Salas, and Justin and Andrew Durrett. She was preceded in death by a son, Hobart G. Durrett, Jr., in 1997. After his death, she raised two grandchildren, Dustin Durrett and Sarah Jobe.MEMORIALS: American Heart Association, 6605 W.
