SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Kenny Rigoulot, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Allen was born May 7, 1924 in De Witt, Arkansas to Joel and Ethel Arnett. She married Carl Ray Allen on June 6, 1946 in Weatherford, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1994. Ruby was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II at the training command headquarters in Fort Worth. She worked for Quentin Williams Realtor for 12 years.SURVIVORS: 1 daughter: Rhoda Sue LeWinter and husband Steve of Dallas; 2 sons: Ken Allen and wife Pam of Pampa and Carl Allen and wife Nancy of Kingman, Arizona; 1 sister: Flora Mae Roe of Alvarado; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. Ruby was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Robert Arnett and Ben Arnett; 1 sister: Betty Ann Webb; and 1 grandson: Clifford Blake Allen.
