SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2009, at Memorial Heights Cemetery, with Gene Gee, minister of the Church of Christ of Lefors, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Purvis was born March 14, 1941 in Murphy. She attended and graduated from Garland High School. She married Kenneth Purvis on February 14, 1986 in Pampa. Jane Ann worked as a nurse's aide in the medical field for many years. She attended the First Baptist Church in Lefors. Her family was co-founders of the famous Mesquite Rodeo in Mesquite and her mother, Neva Robbins Cookston was the first sweetheart of the Dallas Rodeo. Jane Ann participated in the rodeo parades and was involved with horses all her life. In her spare time, she liked to do arts and crafts, and she was the owner and operator of the "Pearls in the Attic" in Lefors. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was the love of Kenneth's life.SURVIVORS: Husband: Kenneth Purvis of the home; 3 sons: Mark Evrage, Shayne Hendrickson and wife Carmen, and Sonny Purvis and wife Thelma, all of Lefors; 5 daughters: Sherry Bowman of Stroud, Oklahoma, LeaNan Sparks of Pampa, Kenya Titsworth and husband Gary of Okemah, Oklahoma, Jamie Purvis and Shayna Purvis, both of Lefors; 5 grandsons: James Ray Sipes, Chad Clardy, Brandon Woodward, Chris Woodward and Kody Hendrickson; 5 granddaughters: Krista Klien, Casey Evrage, Cheyenna Titsworth, Brianna Titsworth and Alicia Whitehead; 1 great-grandson: Hayden Klien; 2 great-granddaughters: Baylee Talamante and K'Lee Clardy.
