SERVICES: Vigil services will be at 4:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2009, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with Rev. Joseph Ravi, associate pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Martinez was born January 22, 1942 in El Paso, and she was a lifelong resident of Pampa. She married Jesse D. Martinez on February 27, 1962 in Pampa. Lupe worked for the Pampa Country Club for over 15 years before retiring in 2001. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. She loved reading and spending time with her family. SURVIVORS: Husband: Jesse D. Martinez of the home; 2 sons: Larry Martinez and wife Cindy of Wichita Falls, and Bobby Martinez and wife Caryn of Amarillo; 1 daughter: Lisa Wilson and husband Joe of Pampa; 5 brothers: John Garza of Graham, Gilbert Garza and wife Beth, and Ruben Garza, all of Comanche, Oklahoma, and Mike Garza and Leon Garza, both of Duncan, Oklahoma; 4 sisters: Isabel Rodriguez and husband Luis of Bakersfield, California, Mary Ochoa and husband Ben of Abilene, Mary Estella Henry and husband Curtis of Pampa, and Gloria Garza of Austin; 7 grandchildren: Macy Martinez and Hunter Martinez, both of Wichita Falls, Parker Martinez and Faith Martinez, both of Amarillo, Jessica Shelton and Lauren Cortez, both of Pampa, and Joe Wilson, Jr., of Virginia; 2 great-grandsons: Alec Cortez and Maxwell Neff, both of Pampa.MEMORIALS: St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 810 W. 23rd, Pampa, Texas 79065.
