SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Thacker Haynes, pastor of the United Methodist Church of McLean, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Rhoten was born October 11, 1918 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Louis and Marie Robison and was reared in Turley, Oklahoma. She moved to Pampa where she married Rhuie Rhoten on August 27, 1940 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in 1993. She moved to McLean in 1960 and then to White Deer in 1982. She moved to Bakersfield, California in 2003 to be closer to her daughter. Mildred was a devout Christian. She was a bookkeeper and a homemaker.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Joyce Killough and husband H. M. of White Deer, and Judie Canard and husband Greg of Bakersfield, California; 14 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Kay Hancock, and 2 sons, Leo Dean Rhoten and Tommy Rhoten.
