SERVICES: Memorial graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Fairview Cemetery with Glen Walton, minister of Bell Avenue Church of Christ of Amarillo, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Patton was born November 28, 1937 in Pampa where she was a 1956 graduate of Pampa High School. She married Ronal Cecil Patton on December 30, 1955. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1990. She worked for many years with her parents at Pampa Parts & Supply. She then managed the fabric department at WalMart and also worked at the Hobby Shop for several years. During Operation Desert Storm, she collected and mailed cookies to the troops overseas. Nelda later owned her own business, "My Favorite Things." She taught classes for tole painting. She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ. She enjoyed making arts and crafts and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. SURVIVORS: 1 son: Richard Patton and wife Jana of Pampa; 1 daughter: Rhonda Leazer and husband Nathan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren: Kailie Patton, Sara Leazer and Erin Leazer, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Keelan Patton and Kyler Patton, both of Pampa. Nelda was preceded in death by her parents, Winford and Lessie Maness Swain, and a daughter, Michelle Lynn Patton, on March 30, 1964.MEMORIALS: American Diabetes Association, P.O.
