SERVICES: 10:00 AM Friday, March 13, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard Bartel, pastor, and Rev. Fines Marchman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Skellytown, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2009, at Plymouth Cemetery in Samnorwood, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. West was born November 18, 1943 in Pampa. He married Linda Kidwell on June 8, 1964 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2003. Aubrey was a welder, truck driver, mechanic and ranch hand. He also worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in the Clements and Jordan Units. He was a Baptist. Aubrey loved the outdoors, especially taking the children and grandchildren fishing. He spent many hours watching the grandchildren at Pampa Optimist activities. SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Billy West and wife Mistie and Preston West and wife Evelyn, all of Pampa; 1 daughter: Janie Yates and husband Mike of Pampa; 10 grandchildren: Coleby West, Charles Calloway, Brett West, Halie West, Aubrey Don West, Stephanie West, Michael West, Brandon Yates, Bryan Yates and Maddie Yates; 1 sister: Marlene Kyle of Pampa; 1 brother-in-law: Fines Marchman of Pampa; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and "special grandchildren".
