William Leonard Gabelmann

Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Gabelmann was born November 18, 1923 in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Marie Gabelmann. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946. Bill attended the University of Missouri Rolla where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mining engineering. On March 17, 1948, Bill married Nancy J. Memhardt and in 1952, moved to Pampa while working with the Texas Company. In 1955 he went into business for himself as a consulting petroleum engineer. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, of 40 years. Bill was loved by many and will truly be missed.SURVIVORS: 1 daughter: Lynn German and husband Ron of Arlington; 1 son: Bill Gabelmann and wife Ruby of Edmond, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren: Darcy Dayton and husband Ryan of Dallas, Kendra German of Arlington, and Johanna Gabelmann and Christopher Gabelmann, both of Edmond, Oklahoma; 1 brother: Kenneth Gabelmann and wife Peggy of St. Louis, Missouri; special friend: Nancy Paronto of Pampa.MEMORIALS: St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 727 W.
