SERVICES: Memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Memorial Cemetery in Dalhart, with Rev. Barry Walker, pastor of First Christian Church of Dalhart, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Patterson was born February 13, 1912 in Dalhart. She was a lifelong resident of Dalhart, moving to Pampa in December of 2008. She was a schoolteacher in Dalhart, Stratford, Des Moines, New Mexico, and on an Indian reservation in Arizona. She was a Real Estate agent in Dalhart as well.SURVIVORS: Niece: Frances Guthrie and husband Mearl of Pampa; sister-in-law: Frances Patterson of Dalhart; great-nephew: James Guthrie and wife Kelli of Fairplay, Colorado; great-great-niece: Codi Guthrie of Fairplay, Colorado; and great-great-nephew: Khale Guthrie of Fairplay, Colorado. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents: Claude Dennis and Mary Hattie Patterson; 2 brothers: Billie Patterson and James Richard Patterson; and a great-niece: Teresa Dawn Guthrie.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N.
