SERVICES: Mr. Dorsey was cremated and will be buried in the Groom Cemetery at a later date.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Dorsey was born April 22, 1929 in Groom to W. H. and Tassie Dorsey. He was a former resident of Groom and White Deer, and was the owner of an air-conditioning company in Florida for many years. He loved to fish. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, serving during World War II in China and bases in the U. S. He was preceded in death by his wife: Retha Dorsey in 2006; a brother: Leroy Dorsey; and an infant sister: Irma Joyce Dorsey. SURVIVORS: 1 son: Ronald Dorsey of Florida; 3 daughters: Sherri Rainey and Terri McCalister, both of Florida, and Michelle Dorsey of Brownwood; 1 brother: Jerry Dorsey and wife JoLean of Pottsboro; 3 sisters: Arvella Himebaugh of Surprise, Arizona, Norma Slagle and husband Frank of Pampa, and Lavada Finney and husband Tom of Greeley, Colorado; special friend: Juanita Ausbrook of Mannford, Oklahoma; and a host of family and friends.
