SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, February 13, 2009, at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Midland, with Rev. David T. Johnson, associate pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Raiffeisen was born July 4, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Charles and Mary Raiffeisen. He married Carolyn Thomas on July 17, 1971 in Waco. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2005. Willard received his bachelors degree in math from Texas Tech University and his masters degree in education from Baylor University. He lived in the Waco and Temple areas until his retirement from Central Texas College. Upon his retirement, he moved to Midland where he enjoyed walking, travelling, reading, playing and teaching bridge. He was a member of the Christian Science Church and the Midland Walkabout Club.SURVIVORS: 1 daughter: Jennifer Monroe and husband Ryan of Pampa; 2 brothers: Paul Raiffeisen of California and Jack Raiffeisen of Houston; 2 sisters: Susan Plucker of Auburn, California and Carol Flournoy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren: Mady Monroe and Jackson Monroe, both of Pampa; and many nieces and nephews. Willard was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Mary Margaret Raiffeisen; his stepmother: Marian Raiffeisen; a brother: Richard Raiffeisen; father-in-law: Kenneth Ray Thomas; and mother-in-law: Ouida Thomas Mair.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, P.O.
