SERVICES: There are no services scheduled at this time. At Mr. Nichols' request, his body has been donated to Texas Tech Medical School in Lubbock. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Nichols was born July 15, 1934 in Borger where he graduated from Borger High School. He had been a longtime resident of Pampa. Randol married Carol Muns on November 6, 1979 in Guymon, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2006. He worked as a deputy for Gray County Sheriff's Office and a police officer for Pampa Police Department. He was also involved in law enforcement in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Denver, Colorado. He was a member of First Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: 3 sons: Stewart Nichols and wife Evelyn of Pampa, Mark Nichols of Troy, New York, and Scott Nichols of Denver, Colorado; 2 daughters: Lisa Fulton of White Deer and Tammy O'Neal of Keller; 1 brother: Harris Nichols of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
