SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Fines Marchman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Skellytown, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Mason was born April 15, 1920 in Chico, Texas, to Yancy and Grace Mason. He married Opal Dollar in 1940 in Gaines County. She preceded him in death on January 28, 1998. E. W. moved to Pampa in 1961 from Odessa. He was a retired refrigerator mechanic for Malcolm Hinkle. He was a Baptist.SURVIVORS: 4 daughters: Rebecca Bradley, Kathy Hatcher, Carolyn Sells and Rita Harris, all of Amarillo; 5 sons: Donald Mason, Garil Mason, Dewayne Mason and Jackie Mason, all of Amarillo, and Kenneth Mason of Newark; 1 brother: Keith Mason of Irving; 2 sisters: Louise Harrod of Lovington, New Mexico, and Janie Brashear of Farmington, New Mexico; 31 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. E. W. was preceded in death by a daughter: Grace Marie Sells in 1995; 2 grandsons: Gary Bradley in 1988 and Billy Sells in 1993; and 2 brothers: Bobby Mason and Eugene Mason.
