Jay had been a resident of Pampa most of his life. He worked as a driller for Trinidad Drilling up until the time of his death. He enjoyed drawing, cooking and working on his Mustang car, but most of all, he loved his children. SURVIVORS: 1 son: Mason Richards of Pampa; 3 daughters: Jordyn Richards, Breelyn Richards and Lauryn Richards, all of Pampa; mother and stepfather: Kerry and D. D. Lofton of Pampa; 1 sister: Lesli East of Fort Worth; maternal grandparents: Jerry and Pat Leach of Pampa; niece: Ashli East of Coppell; uncle: Kelly Leach of Yukon, Oklahoma. Jay was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lynn Richards in 1990.
