SERVICES: 10:00 AM Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa with Rev. Fines Marchman, pastor of First Baptist Church of Skellytown, officiating.BURIAL: 3:00 PM Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at Okmulgee Cemetery in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Pace was born June 15, 1911 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He married Edna Ann Woods on Feb. 9, 1935, and she preceded him in death in 1969. He later married Neoma Mercer on May 8, 1973 who preceded him in death on July 13, 2008. Mr. Pace had lived in Skellytown for 59 years and worked for Shell Oil Company at the Bryan Plant #17 for 35 years. He was a deacon of First Baptist Church in Skellytown for many years and was a Mason for over 50 years.SURVIVORS: 1 son: Thomas E. Pace of Amarillo; 2 stepdaughters: Vicki Brown of Midland and Nancy Mercer of Ruidoso, NM; 1 stepson: Larry Mercer and wife Susie of Midland; 1 granddaughter: Erika Lowe of Amarillo; 2 great grandchildren: Jobie Jane Lowe and Hudson Lowe, both of Amarillo; 7 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: American Red Cross, 1800 S. Harrison, Amarillo, TX 79102.
