SERVICES: 10:00 AM Monday, December 29, 2008, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Evalyn will be buried at the White Deer Cemetery, but there will be no graveside services.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Adams was born November 24, 1922 in Desdemona, Texas. She was a homemaker for many years, but later was employed by various businesses in the Panhandle area. She loved cooking, crocheting and singing. Evalyn loved the Lord and served Him in many areas of her adult life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, where The Sonshiners and her Sunday School class were very special to her. SURVIVORS: 1 son: Don Adams and wife Carlene of Pampa; 4 grandchildren: Tim Fort and wife Amy of Lamar, Colorado, Daran Adams and wife Andrea and Terri Delemater, all of Round Rock, and Dawna Fisher of Austin; 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter; 2 sisters-in-law; 6 nephews and 5 nieces and their families. When Evalyn arrived in Heaven, she was greeted by loved ones who preceded her in death. Those welcoming her home were Alvin, whom she was married to for 47 years; her daughter: Sharon Pearce; her granddaughter: Dana Adams. Also there to meet her were her parents: Chester and Edna Jacobs; 2 brothers: Melvin and Bailey; and 3 sisters: Opal, Agnes and Melba.MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Sonshiners Senior Ministry, First Baptist Church, P.
