SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 27, 2008, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Thacker Haynes, pastor of the United Methodist Church of McLean, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Houser was born November 2, 1937 in Teague, Texas. She had been a resident of Pampa for 46 years. Willie was a member of the First Christian Church and the Moose Lodge. She was employed by Pampa Office Supply and Cuyler Street Clothing for many years. She was a very talented artist and enjoyed painting. Willie was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sharing with family and friends.SURVIVORS: 1 daughter: Michelle Smith and husband Robert of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren: Justin Anderson and Kelsey Anderson, both of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Amanda Anderson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Cassidy Smith and Jordan Smith, both of Amarillo; 1 sister: Joyce Simon and husband Vincent of Pampa; 1 brother: Billy H. Pope and wife Carol of Victoria; several nieces and nephews. Willie was preceded in death by her parents: Walter H. and Viola A. Pope; a brother: Jack Pope; a daughter: Stephania Givens; and her husband: Jean Houser. MEMORIALS: Olivia's Angels, c/o BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, Texas 79065.
