He was a retired oilfield worker. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1991 when he married Dolores Spurrier. They were co-owners of The Cottage Collection. James enjoyed wood working and had a special love for animals.SURVIVORS: Wife: Dolores Spurrier of the home; 1 son: James Burton of Kingsland; 1 daughter: Delann Hallford of Abilene; 1 sister: Edith Reeves of El Paso; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 niece: Sue Hodnett of Big Spring; special friends: Christine, Sandra and Tonya.
