SERVICES: 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2008, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with John Curry officiating. BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Dawkins was born May 12, 1926 in the ranch house that she lived in until earlier this year. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1944. She married Glenn Dawkins on July 3, 1946, and they were married until his accidental death in 1997. She led the Pampa High School landscape project in the 1990's and her PHS class reunions with her life long friend, Ruth Barrett, for the past 20 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and an active member of the fine arts community in Pampa. She was President emeritus of the Pampa Knife and Fork and had often served as President of El Progresso Study Club. She was preceded by her only sister, Lela Mae Swain.SURVIVORS: 1 daughter: Glennette Goode and husband Jimmy of Pampa, 1 grandson: Jeremy Goode and wife Liana of Pampa. 1 brother-in-law: D.W. Swain of Clarendon. 1 nephew: Dale Greenhouse of Pampa. 2 great nephews: Dane Greenhouse of Amarillo and Greg Greenhouse of Pampa. 1 cousin: Maynette Scott of Amarillo.MEMORIALS: The Salvation Army, 701 S.
