SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall of Highland Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Emmons was born May 26, 1930 in Iowa Park to Walter and Katie Jewell Emmons. He married Minnie Atwood on July 14, 1951 in Clovis, New Mexico. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1969. Mr. Emmons was a member of Highland Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, riding his scooter and volunteering at The Freedom Museum in Pampa. He served as chaplain for the VFW Post #1657. SURVIVORS: Wife: Minnie Emmons of the home: 3 daughters: Debra Emmons of Pampa, Donna Beason of Kilgore, and Kelly Pricer of Borger; 2 sisters: Billie Harvey of Pampa and Edna Lux of Whittier, California; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
