SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008 at Miami Cemetery with U. S. Chaplain Charles W. Grimsley of the Veteran's Administration in Grand Junction, Colorado, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Altus AFB Blue Knights Honor Guard in Altus, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Moore was born on Feb. 11, 1928 in Shamrock to Spurgeon L. Moore and Oleta Sherwood Moore. He was a resident of Miami since 1991 and married Joyce Webb on Aug. 22, 1993 in Miami. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2007. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1951 until 1974, retiring as Master Sergeant. He was later self-employed in refurbishing rental property. Mr. Moore was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Leslie Moore.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Diane Gutierrez of Corpus Christi and Simone Castaneda of San Antonio; a stepson: Bill Vuicich of Denver City; 2 stepdaughters: Jeannie Fulgham of Breckenridge and Gaylene Grimsley and husband Charles of Mesa, CO; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: Miami Meals on Wheels or Miami Senior Citizens Center.
