Shirley Runyon

SERVICES: 2:00 PM Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Pampa.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Runyon was born on Aug. 1, 1927 in Slope, North Dakota. She married W. S. "Bill" Runyon in December of 1952 in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She and her husband resided in Pampa from 1955 until 1963 when they moved to Fort Worth. She later returned to the Panhandle in 2005, residing in Amarillo. Shirley was active parent in PTA, and in her later years, her life was centered around her grandson, Joseph. Above all, she will be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, and Granny. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 19, 1994, and by a daughter, Jo Runyon, in 1965.SURVIVORS: Daughter: Debbie Summar and husband Cliff of Amarillo; son: David Earl Runyon; 2 brothers: Russell Seymanski and Joseph Seymanski, both of Billings, Montana; grandson: Joseph Summar of Canyon; sister-in-law: Charlotte Luedecke of Marble Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.MEMORIALS: Odyssey Healthcare, 6900 I-40 West, Suite 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
