SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with Rev. Justin Coleman, pastor of First Assembly of God in Canadian, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Knight was born April 16, 1925 in Quanah, Texas to James Berry Duncan and Tressie Savage Duncan. She was a 1943 graduate of Quanah High School. She and her family moved to Pampa in 1944. She married Henry Bensel in 1945, and they had one son, Harry W. Bensel. She worked at Highland General Hospital in Pampa as a nurses' aide from 1965 to 1967. In 1967, she moved to Guymon, Oklahoma, and then to Roosevelt, Oklahoma in 1970, where she worked as city clerk until returning to Pampa in 1985. She resided in Pampa until moving to Amarillo in 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Edna Steele, and by two brothers, J. B. Duncan and Calvin Duncan.SURVIVORS: Son: Harry Bensel and wife Pam of Hugoton, KS; sister: Janice Hyatt of Amarillo; 2 brothers: Hubert "Tiny" Duncan and wife Linda of Pampa and Dennis Duncan and wife Achsa of Hugoton, KS; 3 granddaughters: Tara Hill, Deidre Bensel, and Kendrea Bensel; 1 great grandson, Jaden Hill; and many loving nieces and nephews, including Sherry King and Gary Hyatt, both of Amarillo.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, P. O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.SPECIAL NOTICE: The family will be at 1920 N. Wells in Pampa.
